Don’t catch a cold this winter – if you have electric storage heaters keep reading!

We often recieve callouts to properties with electric storage heater / night storage heaters which are suspected to be faulty.  Often there is no problems with the heater and their operation has not been clearly explained to the user.  To save you time and money we’ve put together this simple page with information on how they work, hints & tips on how to use storage heaters.

To get the best from your storage heater:

  • Ensure you have paid your electricity bill / have sufficent credit on your key-meter
  • Ensure your heating circuit breakers & switches are turned “ON
  • Ensure the input is turned up – High for Winter, Low for Summer
  • Ensure the output is turned down low so the storage heater can “charge”
  • Do not cover the heaters with clothes or objects
